Chair: Prof. Henrik Sølvberg. How lay publics form, hold and revise judgements about health risk: numeric and verbal formats, affect and dread, and the durability of perception across a long emergency.

Chair: Prof. Amara Okonkwo. Field and institutional practice in acute events — the opening statement, rumour management, community feedback loops and coordination with local responders.

Misinformation and trust

Chair: Dr Rosa Iglesias. The circulation of false and misleading health claims, the design and limits of correction, source credibility, and what erodes or restores institutional trust.

Health equity

Chair: Dr Naomi Ferreira. Reaching publics that official channels miss: language access, disability, migration status, trusted intermediaries and community-partnered research designs.

Institutional crisis

Chair: Prof. Mei-Ling Chua. Hospitals, ministries and regulators under scrutiny: disclosure and timing, apology and accountability, spokesperson practice and internal communication.

Data and AI

Chair: Dr Tom Reddick. Machine-generated and machine-targeted health messaging: conversational agents, translation at scale, dashboards, and the audit trail behind automated advice.

Paper abstracts

500 words excluding references, stating the question, the method, the evidence and what the finding changes. Twenty-minute presentation, ten minutes of discussion.

Panel proposals

800 words describing the question and four to five contributors, at least two institutions represented. Ninety-minute slot with a chair.

Posters

300 words. Work in progress is welcome; posters print A0 portrait and are displayed for the full two days.

Doctoral consortium

A 1,000-word summary of the thesis and one open question, plus a supervisor's note. Twelve places, each with a senior discussant.
